Everyone knows, if you want to start blogging, there are two platforms which will appear firstly in our head or the first advice that will be given by the other bloggers are Blogger or Wordpress. Well, here lots of questions appear for the beginner bloggers, which platforms we have to choose in 2023? Blogger or Wordpress? I just want to share my experience by trying using Wordpress and Blogger in 2022 and why I finally choose Blogger over Wordpress.
My Experience Using Wordpress in 2022
Honestly, Wordpress is quite hard to be understood for beginner bloggers. Therefore, if you are really beginners in blogging world, then you will be quite confused when you use Wordpress. I personally have used Wordpress since 2013, but I have deleted my blog lol, and I have started blogging again since 2022 until now.
I started blogging again in 2022 because I wanted to connect my Youtube contents with my blog. At that time, I have two options, Blogger or Wordpress? In the end, I tried to use Wordpress first.
Shortly, I had quite a lot of articles which I had connected them with my Youtube, I had designed my layout for around two months and I started to enjoy blogging on Wordpress.
What I like on Wordpress is you basically don't need to submit your posts on Google Search Console. Your articles will be immediately indexed by Google and the Wordpress traffic seems to be more crowded than Blogger actually. This which made me quite comfy blogging using Wordpress for around two months.
But, suddenly I got a notification from my Email that my blog was blocked or banned by Wordpress because Wordpress thought I had linked lots of my Youtube links on my blog which Wordpress considered my action as spamming. Well dude, this is the weakness of Wordpress. So, on Wordpress, we are not really free to link our Youtube links in our posts and by Wordpress, our action is regarded as a spam.
Well, lol, actually I had quite enjoyed blogging on Wordpress (even though I had to spent lots of my times to understand the complicated features of Wordpress), but when I had been quite familiar with Wordpress, my blog was banned lol. Finally, I decided to move to Blogger.

My Experience Using Blogger in 2022 until This 2024
Finally, I started to use Blogger. Actually, I had used Blogger since 2013, so basically I didn't have any significant problem in building my new blog and I quite understand about HTML and CSS so that I at least could design my blog manually even though it was just so-so.
Oh I almost forgot, for you who are really beginners in the blogging world, Blogger in fact is simpler and easier to understand that Wordpress, but if you don't really understand how to code HTML and CSS, your blog layout and appearance will be so basic and standard and usually your blog won't be appealing in terms of physical appearance. It's totally different if you use Wordpress, even though you don't understand HTML and CSS, at least the Wordpress layout is quite beautiful and appealing, but still, Wordpress is quite hard to be understood for beginners and you need lots of times to understand the features on Wordpress lol.
OK we continue guys, so the point is finally I decided to use Blogger, not because I really like it, but because I was forced to use it lol. Honestly, in terms of traffic, Wordpress is much better than Blogger. Blogger's weakness is you have to submit your site and your posts manually on Google Search Console first so that they will appear on Google Search Engine. However, even though you have submit your site and post on Google Search Console, I don't know why, I still feel the traffic of Blogger is not as good as Wordpress' traffic.
However, the advantage of Blogger is it is totally free and you are free to express yourself. So, you don't need basically to be afraid to post your Youtube links or another links on your blog and moreover you can freely make lots of new blogs on Blogger as many as you want. On Wordpress, you are so limited and there are lots of rules too you have to follow, if you break the rules, there is a very high chance that your blog will be banned.

Moreover if you understand HTML and CSS, then basically you guys can design your blog manually and there are more freedom expression on Blogger. You are also able to make lots of blogs freely. However, sadly, on Blogger, the traffic is not as good as Wordpress
Wordpress, on the contrary, is harder to understand for beginners and if you are really totally beginners in blogging, you will be confused on Wordpress in the first time so that it will take long time for you to understand the complicated features on Wordpress. Wordpress also has lots of strict rules which will hinder your freedom expression so that in my opinion, if you are the type of person who love limitless freedom, then this Wordpress won't be very suitable for you, it won't suit you.
